I would like everyone to join me in this year’s Veterans Day Challenge. Put a V on your hand, write the name of a Veteran in your life, and take a picture of it. Then post it on your social channels, tag your veteran or veterans, and hashtag it #HonorThroughAction.
Veterans Day is set aside for us to pause and reflect, to recall and recognize, and to honor and celebrate the service and sacrifices of those who, for 243 years now, have shouldered the challenge and responsibility of defending our freedom.
Today, less than one percent of our population bears the responsibility of our national defense, and under six percent of all Americans living today have worn our Nation’s uniforms.
Let’s step up, stand up and recognize them.
