What's Your Curb Appeal?

Have you noticed you can tell what the inside of a house is going to look like by how the outside looks? It’s called ‘curb appeal’.

Curb appeal doesn’t only apply to houses. It applies to pretty much everything in life.

• The way the outside of a car looks is typically how the inside of the car looks.
• The inside of a hotel room is typically a mirror image of the outside of the hotel.
• The organization of your desk typically mirrors how you run your business.
• The way you look and act on the outside is typically the way you look and feel like on the inside.

Just like a house or a car or a hotel room, we all have personal curb appeal. Our curb appeal affects how we see ourselves and how others see us. It impacts how we perform, and what we achieve. Personal and professional curb appeal can be as simple as smiling and saying ‘Hi’ to people, staying calm in stressful situations and being on time to your appointments.
